An important thing to keep in mind when writing a "How To eBook" is the style of writing you want to use. Every genre of book has a distinctive writing style. While a suspense novel may take the reader through a series of events leading up to a surprise ending, with lots of twists and turns along the way. And a western novel will take the reader on a journey through the dusty plains of the old west describing each character in detail.

In general a "How-To eBook" will have a very different style of writing and layout.

A "How To eBook" is much like a recipe cookbook that gives your reader a cretin series of steps to follow in order to complete a task or a series of tasks. Very much like a recipe for baking chocolate chip cookies.

It's best to get a feel for the style of writing your customers will expect. You need to take some time to study other books in your field. How are they written? How are they layed out? What do readers in your market expect?

Here are a couple of great ways to to do this.

1. Grab Some Free Reports

There a many place on line to get free reports in the "How To" market. Most will only require you to join a newsletter as this is a how many marketers build their mailing lists. But once you get the report you can simply unsubscribe from the list. Most importantly study how the "how to" report is laid out and you will easily see how this particular writing style works.

2. Real Life Examples

Go to Amazon.com and in the search box type in the words "How To". Then look through the results for books that have the "Search Inside" feature. Take a look through a few pages of each book and you get an idea of how books in your market are written.
