Barbeques and China Sets

It's such the dilemma... do we register for china or forego the traditional wedding registry items for other alternatives? My husband and I had our differences on this issue- I wanted to register for china, but he couldn't understand why we should register for something we'd hardly ever use. Growing up, my mom had the most beautiful china set and it was always so special to use it for holidays and dinner parties. It felt very elegant and made the special event even more memorable. Although we may not use the china much as newlyweds, I couldn't imagine holidays with our future family without the special china.

Luckily I have an understanding husband who believes in working through our differences rather than letting each other boil over a disagreement. It was decided that we could register for china, if we could also register for a barbeque. (A definite man toy!) What a deal - I love anything barbequed!

We picked out the most beautiful china pattern that fits our style, but will be classic for ages. I also checked out a few china replacement suppliers to make sure my pattern was something they carried, just in case something were to happen in the future. So there you have it- I got my china and he got his barbeque and we both are getting excited for the wedding that is quickly approaching!
