The most exciting turning point in a young girl's life is at the age of 15. You know this is true if you have any kind of Latino background. Quinceanera in Hispanic culture is a rite of passage for a girl that is so important that some families save for this occasion from the day the girl is born. The party should be done in style since its purpose is to celebrate the transition from childhood to womanhood. Quinceaneras are strongly held Latino cultural traditions designed to celebrate a young woman's maturity, like an American sweet sixteen or a Jewish bat mitzvah. In the past the purpose of a Quinceanera was to illustrate the fact that a young woman was now of age to accept marriage offers. It combines customs of the Spanish with those of Aztec Indians conquered by them and dates back to the 1500s. However, these parties nowadays are only about a 15 year old girl entering adulthood. The customs of Quinceanera vary from one country to another country. In the United States, the festivities involve mixtures of different cultures and languages. Much like a sweet sixteen bash, traditional party events take place. Along with the traditional clothing and customs, contemporary dancing is also common. These customs are especially essential when it comes to finding the ideal Quinceanera dress. The most important part of each celebration is the gowns of Quinceanera. On their birthdays, young women wear these gowns to reveal their beauty, poise, purity, and maturity. In similar words, every young lady should feel and look like a princess. A Quinceanera celebration is just like a wedding in this way. The young lady accomplishes her coming-out experience with an attention grabbing dress. She must find a dress that is perfect for her, so that she feels special and stands out. Many times this means planning ahead by selecting a dress early and taking care of fittings and gown adjustments well before the Quinceanera. An exciting array of colors and styles are available for Quinceanera dresses. These are slightly different from the traditional solid pink gowns. Although other colors are also acceptable, many young women prefer white dresses over pink. The motivation is to look high class, while not being uncomfortable. Very often, this means that the unique character and presence of each young lady is reflected by finding a suitable gown for her. Traditionally, since there are several damas (or maids of honor) as well, the dresses chosen for them should be matching too. Planning a Quinceanera can really be exciting and challenging, but careful preparation goes with it. In order to save money, online shopping should be preferred and planning should be completed several months in advance. Don't forget that this commemorates the first arrival of adulthood for the young lady, so make sure that each aspect of the celebration is as unique and special as the girl herself.
