Today a clean and bald look in the pubic area of the body is back in fashion and a number of celebrities have made it even more popular, but it's nothing new. The ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Persians and Indians used this look, and perfected ways to accomplish it and they knew how to deal with ingrown pubic hair. Ingrown pubic hair is one that grows at an abnormal angle and then turns back into the skin, causing a pustule or papule to form which is a small solid bump that may contain puss. Also known as "razor bumps, these are unsightly, uncomfortable and an unwanted side-effect to a clean shaven bald looks. Why do they occur? There are many reasons, but the most common way is to shave with a razor in the opposite direction of the natural growth of the hairs being shaved. The pubic hair can also get trapped beneath the skin from blockages to the hair follicle. All hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, can aggravate the hair follicle - the hair then becomes trapped beneath the skin. Treatment There are many ways to treat in ingrown pubic hair Here are simple proven methods that were used in ancient societies thousands of years ago and are still effective today. Method 1. The body will try to eliminate the ingrown pubic hair itself. You can certainly make it easier for your body go the gym and visit the sauna. When you have built up a good sweat, lightly scrub exfoliate, to remove the upper layer of dead skin with a "loofa". A loofa is water based plant and is a slightly coarse sponge. You can find it in any chemist. After scrubbing, the ingrown hair will be free as the dilation of the pores will have occurred due to the heat of the sauna, Get tweezers ready and simply pluck them as you see them You must stretch the skin tightly, grip the hair close to its root, and tug it. It's a short sharp bit of discomfort but it works. After hair has been removed simply wipe on some antiseptic solution to prevent infection. Method 2 If you don't fancy the above here is another way Three times a day compress on the affected area with a sponge soaked in hot water then apply any product containing salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a strong exfoliating chemical that will help free trapped hairs. Ask your pharmacist to recommend any suitable product. The daily use of the above will simply help the body take care of the ingrown pubic hairs, You can apply some baby oil mixed with Aloe Vera lotion to the areas as well, these two products will prevent irritation and Aloe Vera will prevent infection This will keep the skin from becoming further irritated, and the Aloe Vera is a natural antiseptic which will help prevent infection at the affected site. The above methods for treating ingrown pubic hair work just as they did thousands of years ago and they will work for you to. There are of course many salons dealing with pubic hair as we have had the rise of the bald sensuous look, but you can try the above first and it will cost you a lot less.
