With all of the perfume options out there it can be difficult to know just how to use it. There are some tricks to wearing it well and using it to its full benefit. Some people head to the perfume store and have no idea what to look for or on what occasions to wear it. Learn secrets and tricks to doing it well.

People wear perfume for lots of different reasons. They might put it on in the morning as part of their routine, or they might add it to the beginning of a night out. Some people actually are in love with certain scents and must smell them often. Whatever the reason, perfume is a huge industry and women love to wear it.

You can buy perfume from a department store, pharmacy, perfume outlet or the company itself such as Guess. When you approach a perfume counter you may be overwhelmed by the various scents that can come from so many bottles around at the same time. The best thing to do is to make up some scent cards. That involves spraying some of the perfume from sample bottles and giving a card a light mist. The cards are available at the perfume counters.

You can take the cards home and smell them there. It is important that you do not smell one right after another because your nose might not be able to adjust to the smells enough to give you an accurate result. And try to smell them fairly soon after you reach home so that the smell does not fade from the cards.

Asking friends and family`s opinions on the scent samples is a great way to know if your scent is perfect or not. After all, they will be the ones who have to smell it too! Pick some favourites and then give your buddies the option of cutting it down to one.

When you buy a scent for the first time, it is always best to go for a small bottle. You might get home and not actually like wearing the scent out or you may find that you wear it only when you are heading to certain places. If you truly love the perfume scent, then buy a larger bottle of it next time.

Perfume can last up to a year, and anytime after that the smell cannot be promised. It may smell the same at first but may not last as long, or the scent might smell a tad sweeter or just off then it used to.

Perfume is best applied on the wrists. You spray it on one wrist and then rub the two together. It can also be sprayed on clothes, although it could stain your fabric depending on the exact type.

Some people spray it in their hair, but it is not recommended because it could land in your face or have some bad interactions with other hair products in the hair. Or it could do some harm to your hair as over time it could lead to dry hair follicles.

Perfume creams and lotions are perfect for applying to the legs and arms. They do not last as long as perfume spray but make for a nice creamy lotion on the skin.

Wearing perfume can make you feel wonderful and ultra girly, so find a scent that you love and wear it well!
