Turn Them into a Loyal Customer

Want to know the best way to create a loyal customer? You have to be loyal to the customer first.

If you aren't treating your customers with the most respect possible and going out of your way to make things better for them then why are they going to care about you? I have to feel that a company is willing to put in the effort to hear my needs and care about my concerns before I'll dedicate myself to them.

It's like any kind of relationship in life. There has to be commitment on both sides or you aren't going to end up with a very strong relationship. So many companies seem to think that they don't need to care about the customer in order to gain a loyal customer.

The next question then becomes how do you show your customers that you care about their needs?

Newsletter printing is a good answer to this, because it gives you a chance to do two things at the same time.

I want a company to be willing to listen to my needs. Now, I don't always have anything I feel like asking of a company. I'm fine with the way things are going with them and so I have no reason to contact them. But that doesn't mean I still don't like to know that they're willing to listen if I do need to ask them about something.

Use your newsletter printing to start up a section dedicated to answering your customer's questions. Ask them to send in letters, print those letters, and answer them as best as you can. Tell them why you run your store the way you do.

The first thing this does is provides your customers with an outlet to let you know what they're thinking. You have direct access to your customer's thoughts, which allows you to easily find out what they think about you, and gives you a chance to improve your company.

Next, for people like me, it lets us know that you're willing to listen if we ever do have something to say. I might not have a concern now, but knowing that the company is willing to listen when I do have one will do wonders to get my attention, and make me trust them.

This will obviously take a lot more time and effort on your part to make sure as many people are happy with your company as possible. Many businesses aren't willing to take aside the time to do anything like this, which is why the company that does will stand out all the more.

It all boils down to being loyal to your customers. The company that's willing to listen to a customer's concerns will be the company who is going to best serve their customer's needs, and develop the most trust.
