Now, while I'm talking specifically about catalogs here, this advice really applies to just about any kind of advertisement you could get done. These are three important details to remember no matter what kind of marketing you prefer. But talking about catalog printing specifically, here are three ways to make sure you get the most sales possible from your catalogs. The first is consistency with your image. Your catalog needs to tie directly to your brand name, and because of that you need to make sure that your use of images and wording never strays too far from that brand name. If each catalog looks completely different from the last you won't be as capable of getting a strong brand name for people to remember, because your brand appears to be changing every time. This also has to do with your customer base as well. Unless each catalog is meant to target a completely different part of the market, why would you change things too much? The products in your printed catalog should be the only thing changing a lot from one to the next. Develop a strong and consistent image for use throughout all of your catalogs to best appeal to your customers and keep your brand name strong. The next has to do with developing trust with your customers. You need to have a strong working relationship with your customer base if you want them to keep giving you business. The exact way you build up this relationship is never going to be exactly the same. Each industry and each company might form different methods to best appeal to their customers in order to get them to keep buying. A large part of this is making sure that you never look down on your customers and always view them as equals. If you aren't showing any true interest in them your customers will feel it, and start to pull away from you. Lastly, considered the exact impact everything in your catalog will have on your customers. No matter what it is, ask yourself first what your customers will think, and whether this will be something they like. Never forget that this catalog is meant for them. You aren't paying for catalog printing so you can flip through it yourself, but to generate interest and sales from your customers, so why wouldn't you put them first when deciding what you need in your catalogs? As I said at the beginning, all of this can apply to just about any kind of advertisement. No matter what type you're creating you need to be sure to consider how your customers will view it and whether you have a consistent image throughout to build up your brand name. And of course, if you don't have any respect for your customers, how are you going to get them to respect you? Never take your customers for granted.
