Brochure printing is increasingly getting standardized. Just look at the options for online brochure printing and you will see that most package orders use default dimensions, standard paper materials and common configurations. I am here to tell you though that you should not let yourself be limited by these default settings. You have to know that those are not necessarily your only choices. You can in fact be creative and use something else. In this article, I will give you a few simple ideas on how to do this when you print brochures.

There is more than the trifold.

In most cases, most brochure printers offer trifold brochure printing. This is because it is the most common. However, you should know that you can go beyond this and be a little bit more creative. There are other kinds of folds such as the "Z" fold, "Accordion" fold, "Gate" fold and even the "French" fold that you can use.

Each kind of fold has its advantages and disadvantages in terms of content and ease of use. The great thing about using different folds is that it makes the color brochures less boring and sometimes even more functional. So ask if you can use different folds for your color brochures. It might just make your design more unique.

You can go any size you want.

You should also know that color brochures can come in different sizes. Yes! You do not have to be limited by the size stated in the brochure printer catalog. You can always go custom with your brochure sizes. You can print big for a big impact, or you cannot print smaller mini brochures if you want a compact and very mobile version. It all depends on what you need and what your creativity dictates.

Any paper you want.

There is also the matter of the paper material. While you may think that paper is just paper, there are actually plenty of options regarding the paper for brochure printing. Besides the usual brochure paper, you can actually go for those paper materials with a high gloss, or those with thicker and tougher configurations. Moreover, you can even try to totally not use paper and go for plastic brochures to make them even more durable. As long as it serves your purposes, any material that can be printed on can be used. Just ask your brochure printer for those custom options.

Any additions you want.

Finally, besides the paper, you should know that you can actually add any more special additions you want into the make of the color brochures. From adding studs and glitters, you may also actually put in embossed elements, metallic inks and even ribbons and twine into the brochures. It might take a special brochure printing company to do it, but it can be done. So do not be afraid. Ask if your other design additions can be implemented.

That should convince you that it is possible to go beyond the brochure printing standards. There are plenty of other more creative options out there in creating color brochures. All you need is to imagine it and ask if it can be done. Usually, you will get what you need from the brochure printer.
