Each type of company requires a uniquely different way of marketing depending on what kind of focus they have for their company. Advertising a company that is centered purely on products has its own methods for advertising you need to be aware of if you want to have any success.

Unlike a service industry, a product-based company is going to succeed based on two specifics things: the products they sell and the prices for those products.

Now, service does still matter for a produce based company, and you'll see many of them talking about what great customer service they have, but it still remains true that if you look at the majority of the color printing they're getting done, all of those advertisements will have the stronger emphasis on what products they sell, and how much those products are.

The reason is because these two things are great motivators for people. If you happen to sell something that no one else does, you will automatically start getting a certain amount of business based purely off of that. The first company to develop a product gets the sales because they're the only ones selling it.

If you're selling something a lot of companies can give people, then the price becomes more important. The cheaper you are the greater the odds of someone coming to you instead.

Now let's look at the different actual ways of getting this information to people. Knowing what to tell people is just as important as know how to tell them.

The things to consider is that both messages are very short and to the point. You don't need much space to tell people you sell something or to tell them you have low prices. The best applications of color printing then become things like postcards, posters, or flyers. They don't give you much space to make your point, but you don't need a lot of space, and these forms of advertising are highly visible.

A postcard is only likely to get a few seconds worth of a person's attention. Well, for a new product no one else sells, just showing them a picture of the product will likely be enough to grab their attention, meaning a few seconds is all you'll need.

The same is true for low prices. All you often need to do is show them the prices and that'll be enough to gain their interest. A single number doesn't take very long for a person to take in, meaning those quick glances will do wonders to get your message across to them.

Always know the best methods for advertising for your particular industry. For products, you don't need much space, but you do need to have something that's easy to see.
