Jazz Up Your CDs with Labels

Over the weekend, since I have nothing else to do, I rummaged through all my stuff in the attic. I was surprised to see how much trash I have accumulated all these years. What caught my attention was the huge number of CDs in one big box. I didn't know what they contain for there was no label printing to give me a clue.

I was tempted to throw the entire box and all the CDs because I have always believed that if I haven't used it for a year, then I do not have a need for it at all. I decided not to throw everything because these CDs might contain important or memorable stuff such as digital pictures or important files. So, I spend the rest of the day going through each one of them. It would have been easier if I have custom labels printed for each one of them before I even stored them. Having said that, I guess it is better late than never.

Now, how do I do that? Organizing CDs is as easy as 1-2-3. Follow these steps and you are on your way to making an organized CD collection.

First, identity all the CDs into audio, data or photo. It would be easier to label them if you know what they contain. It would be easier if you have color codes for each classification. Say, blue for audio, red for data and green for photos. Custom label prints can help you design color coded label prints.

Second, come up with visually appealing designs.CD label prints make your bland, uninteresting and generic looking CD into colorful and classifiable CD albums. You can now make these shiny round things more delightful to look at and more memorable with CD labels.

Through CD label printing, you can easily label your CD album. Writing directly on the CDs with a permanent marker is not ideal because it can always be erased or altered. With your CD label printing project, affixing a title to a CD has never been easy: Christine's Christening; Smith Family Reunion 2000; House Construction documents; 80's Hits; Thanksgiving at Dakota 2003. With these titles on your CD labels, it would be easier for you to sort them out.

Third, add images, a logo or a WordArt. Insert Christine's picture during her christening on the CD or your company logo on your album of your last team building activity. Michael Jackson and Madonna's silhouette could be used for your 80's hit collection. If you do not want photos, graphics might do the trick. Let your imagination run wild to make your digital albums easily identifiable.

CD labels do not only make it easier for you to organize your collection, it also makes your collection more visually appealing. In fact, you probably don't have to store them in the attic because they themselves can be used as house decorations.
