Malaga may well be renowned for enjoying some sun, sea, sand and all the fun that goes with a hedonistic week in the Spanish sun but it could also be the ideal place to dabble in one of the world's most extreme sports; kitesurfing. Harnessing the power of air sports with the guile and nimble nature of watersports this is an adrenaline packed hybrid activity best enjoyed in glamorous climes, and Malaga is certainly that. Situated on the Southern Coast of Spain, Malaga boasts beautiful beaches, glamorous shopping and plenty of bars to keep a party going all week. However, exerting your energy managing your kite and performing high octane flips and jumps from the springboard of the turquoise sea could be all the excitement you need. The nearby town of Tarifa is where you will find a veritable batch of kitesurfing clubs and schools, ideal for beginners and masters of the sport alike. A course spread over a few days will soon have you zipping off the cool waters clocking-up some serious air-time. The thrill of soaring through the air just metres above the water is unparalleled! Kitesurfing is a fast-growing sport that attracts a lot of regulars across Europe coastlines, none more so than Malaga's. Yet when the adrenaline eases off and wind dies down for the evening you could be forgiven for wanting another dose of excitement. Malaga has plenty going on. The nearby towns of Puerto Banus and Marbella offer a splash of the high-life with opulent restaurants and bars proving the ideal watering holes from which to gaze at the many luxury yachts dazzling in the marinas. Away from that and for a good old fashioned knees-up Torremolinos reigns supreme. The indulgent nightlife that swells with tourists in the summer months is the place to find a cracking club and party ‘til dawn. With the adrenaline-pumping nature of kitesurfing many who partake in the activity like to compliment the fast paced activity with a measured and therapeutic round of golf. The Costa del Sol, home to Malaga is the place to be for golf. There are over 70 courses to choose from and some great deals to find.
