There is more to the cost of buying a jetski than appears on the surface. A jetski is a boat. It needs safe storage and a trailer to tow it to the sea. Buying a jetski is a great idea; you'll have lots of fun and it will certainly keep you fit. But before you make the final decision there are some things that you should think about. The main thing is - can you afford a jetski? Sure, you may have a credit card but remember what high interest there is on that. It might be better to do some serious saving first. The cost of the jetski is only part of your final outlay. You will need to have a safe place to store your jetski. Once you pay out lots of moolah for something as fun as a jetski, you don't want to see it stolen. Nor do you want to dump it in the back yard where the sun and rain will degrade the surface. Under the house? Will that be safe when you are not home? You need to have a good place to store your jetski, even if you have to buy a cheap garden shed. At least a shed can be locked. Then, how will you get it to water? Unless you have a ute and plenty of muscle, you will need a trailer to tow it with, a towbar ' and maybe another car if yours does not have enough power. All these additional things will cost money, even if you buy used stuff. Then there is the insurance. No use forking out wads of cash for a jetski and not insuring it. Accidents can and do happen, both on the road and in the water. Without insurance to cover the cost you risk losing your jetski and all the money you outlaid for it.
