A lot of visitors to the Tropical North Queensland area of Australia are making the Daintree Rainforest a destination for themselves. This unusual ecological place is listed on the World Heritage list, it's an older natural space than the Amazon with an incredible amount of ecological and historical importance. It's ability to assist humankind in understanding the world's history is why it's listed with the World Heritage. Of course, the rainforest is a wonderful place to visit and explore. The lush greenery spans further than the eye can see. Located just about 45 minutes from the Port Douglas region and about an hour and a half from Cairns, the Daintree is conveniently located to just about anywhere that you might choose to stay in the TNQ region. If you want to stay nearby the accommodations at Daintree have a huge diversity, and can fit all cost limitations. It includes super modern spas that have private cabins within the rainforest along with a lovely Daintree Riverview Caravan Park. This has nice accommodations within a good price structure with great views of the Daintree River, a wonderful spot for the lover of nature or with limited funds. Perhaps one of the most amazing things about the Daintree Rainforest is the way that it runs right up to the Great Barrier Reef, which is another World Heritage. The flora is amazing with some plants that have remained in almost the same condition as they would have existed on the earth over one hundred million years ago. Angiosperms known to be the very first of all flowering plants still exist in this vast eco-culture. There are many guided and self guided tours to lead you through this leafy green terrain. Having an unending number of attractions and natural wonders in the Tropical North Queensland is amazing but some of the very best sites are those coming out of the earth, all the natural habitats and ecologies.
