Over the years Brisbane has become the new destination for tourists traveling to Australia. This increase of travelers has made the city increase its municipality to keep up. In the past, when you said Australia what came to mind is cities like Melbourne or Sydney, now Brisbane is coming up in the ranks. Tourist that have travel to Australia are looking to find more then just the big cities and Brisbane has become a great launching off city. Now you may believe that Brisbane is just another city in Australia, but it is actually a threshold to a whole different side of Australia. One that is filled with beaches and tropical rainforests, much different from anything you will experience in Melbourne or Sydney. One of the great thing about Brisbane is how close you are to the other very popular areas like the Gold Coast. Another area that also has all the amenities of a beach resort is the Sunshine Coast. These places are filled with history and plenty of things for tourist to do. There is an area known as the Tropical North that you can get to right quick from Brisbane. There are some incredible natural phenomena that you just might want to check out here. Some of these places have the rare distinction to be listed with the World Heritage Sites, such as The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. While you are there you can really get a picture of the history of the place with a visit to the Aborigines museum. You will leave here with a greater understanding of the original inhabitants and get to learn about the creatures and plants that are here. And while Brisbane is one of the most incredible cities in Australia it also serves as a port hole to many unique experiences that are extremely varied. If you want to come and really get a feel for Australia then fly into the Brisbane Airport and hire a car to take you to all the surrounding areas.
