When the exams are all done with and dissertations typed and handed in that leaves two or three months until the next year starts for a university student. What better way to spend the downtime than going on a holiday, specifically an adventure packed holiday that even Indiana Jones would be jealous of Adventure holidays to far off countries are immensely popular for students with the mantra that the further away the better. Research carried out by FairFx has found that many students are taking gap years to go backpacking to all four corners of the world. Destinations such as Africa, Australia and India are popular with students looking to expand their horizons and do a bit of discovering before entering the real world. The main concern for some is that when going backpacking many students are not interested in travel insurance, not necessarily through ignorance but through lack of funds. In order for students to get the flights and accommodation for these holidays they have to prioritise their limited funds and there is also the sense of adventure which many would think would be diminished by worrying over travel insurance. Every year thousands of students go away on gap years and some do more than simply travel too. Some organisations in Africa and India will take on students to help build schools, help in hospitals and other worthwhile activities in return for accommodation and food. These missions are attractive to students who want to help others in developing countries and as a bonus actually can get cheap holidays by doing so. Obviously travelling the world is the best thing to do while you're young and has no attachments and obligations but recent research by holiday company Teletext has found that many newly wed couples have undertaken adventure holidays too and it is a choice that is rising in popularity in the past few years alone. Clearly people of all ages are looking to expand their horizons and going on an adventure holiday can help achieve this. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
