For all you sun worshippers out there, there are two main points which will determine where and when you book your next holiday. Where and when will it be the sunniest? There are certain areas in Spain, like most countries, where the sunny weather reaches a higher peak. Also, depending on when you travel it can determine how much sun you have available to you.
If you research before you book your next holiday, you can ensure you make the most of your 7, 10, or 14 days of sunbathing by hitting the right destination at the right time. If you travel to Madrid in the middle of May you should expect similar weather to a London summer. The temperature will fluctuate a lot with a 20 degree variation within 24 hours not uncommon with the northern winds to blame. If it's sun your after you need to head south towards the Costa del sol, aka 'the sunny coast' with a shimmering statistic of over 300 days of sunshine each year with temperatures constantly soaring over the 20's in the summer time. If you hit the sunny coast between July and September you can lay back with an average of 29 degrees shining down on you. This weather attracts a number of people as it provides great conditions for certain sports such as tennis and golf. The weather is seen as the ultimate playing conditions to many people. The cons to the intense heat are that you will always need to have sun lotion applied, at all times to avoid any uncomfortable nights. Cheap holidays in Costa del Sol are easily found using online comparison sites, simply search for holidays to Costa del Sol or cheap Costa del Sol holidays and you will find the best possible deal out there.
