Imagine the top five most expensive places to live in the world, and sumptuous ideas flood your head, like Barbados, Los Angeles or perhaps Tahiti. How about anywhere in Dorset? Didn't think so. It may stagger you to know that Sandbanks, the beautiful beach area near Poole, Dorset, ranks the fourth most expensive place to live on the planet, in a recent survey. Properties here can reach anything up to 10 million, and you can see why when you drive down the coastal road, ready for a day on the beach. The sea glitters in the sunlight, and the curve of the bay highlights the stunning white sandy beaches in the inlet. Sandbanks main attraction is the beach, known to be the best beach in the UK. The water here is very shallow, but the winds make it perfect for kite surfing, water skiing and other water sports more readily associated with its counterparts in Cornwall. In the summer a variety of events take place on the beach, including a three day event with fantastic displays of dirt biking, kite surfing and gliding, hosted by Animal. It almost feels like you are in Miami when the sun pounds down on you and people enjoy the slightly warmer sea temperatures that the summer bring, although not much warmer!! Make sure you have your Travel Insurance when indulging in water sports; although they are safe for the majority of the time, accidents can happen. There are also surfing schools which run in the summer months, providing fun for all the family. Bask in the sun and enjoy a leisurely lunch without having to worry about getting back for work!! nullnullArticle Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
