If you have ever met anyone who has had a holiday in Orlando, Florida, the phrase ‘holiday of a lifetime' will probably have cropped up at some point. But why is this? What does Orlando offer that makes it so magical for so many people of all ages? The first reason must surely be the theme parks that are ready to greet you when you arrive. The US does everything on a big and bold scale, and their theme parks certainly fall into that category. Perhaps the best example is Universal Orlando. Universal Studios has created a theme park that brings together many of the best loved films and television shows, so you can enjoy a fun packed and memorable day out. But alongside this you also have the Islands of Adventure Park. This also has plenty of input from famous shows and films, but you will be able to experience roller coasters and other memorable rides based on those themes. It's no wonder people find this particular part of Orlando memorable. But is Orlando all about theme parks or does it have more to offer as well? The answer is that it has much more - and once again this adds to its appeal. Discovery Cove is a classic example of this. It is a tropical location which has everything you would expect of such a place, and as a result it provides a relaxing counterpoint to the thrills of the theme parks. That's not to say it isn't equally memorable however. The word ‘discovery' describes it well, since you can swim in the safe waters, watching all kinds of colourful fish swimming underneath you as you go. And with peaceful beaches and the opportunity to swim with dolphins, you'll see why this makes it onto the list of unforgettable experiences you can have in Orlando. If you like the idea of getting close to the water you can also give SeaWorld a visit. This has some water themed rides to enjoy, but you can also see plenty of mammals and fish here too. From stingrays to manatees, they have everything you could want to see and more. Finally if Florida makes you think of the Everglades, you won't have to go that far south to meet crocodiles and alligators. Simply head for Gatorland, where you can watch them being fed; you can also hop on the train to take a ride right round the whole park. Finding somewhere to stay for a memorable trip to Orlando won't be difficult either; there are plenty of Orlando hotels you can choose from to provide a good base from which to enjoy your holiday. But you might want to look for one that is close to several of the attractions that make the top of your holiday ‘to do' list! Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
