My
wife and I recently returned from our latest Alaska cruise and, as usual, Celebrity
Cruise Line surpassed our expectations. They are a top-drawer operation all
the way, and they sail all over the world. It might seem cliché to say this,
but there really was something aboard for everyone, including wine tasting, art
auctions, exercise classes, and, of course dancing (our favorite). The ship
itself was tasteful without being extravagant, and the food was traditional
without being boring. The people we met were a cross-section of society, with the norm being friendliness, openness, and an atmosphere of camaraderie. We booked our trip through the Cruise Vacation Center online, a hub that offers fantastic deals on cruises all over the world. In addition to bookings on Celebrity Cruise Lines, they also include packages on lines such as Azamara, Carnival, Cunard, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess, and Royal Caribbean. In the vacationing world, the common belief seems to be that cheap cruises have to be just that—"cheap." The prices we found are indeed inexpensive for what you get, that is for sure, but there is never a lack in quality. Whether or not you have been to Alaska before, you simply must see it from the deck of a ship. When people tell you, "It's like nothing you've ever seen," and, "It's different every time," they are correct on both counts. Viewing the earth's natural wonders in this way is spectacular, and even that is probably an understatement. We explored, took tours, and saw glaciers, mountain ranges, and wildlife of all kinds including bears, sea lions, and whales. Speaking of wildlife, visiting the Bald Eagle Preserve in Haines was time well spent. We ate Alaskan halibut, King salmon, and King crab, and the coffee in Juneau was a pleasant surprise. Of course, experiencing several ports of call from both shipboard and landside was like taking a number of vacations for the price of one, and that is another definite plus. Seriously, cruise Alaska—you will not regret a minute of it! Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
