Travel agents lead a hectic lifestyle, continually tracking the costs of transportation, accommodations, and rentals, while addressing all the needs of dozens of clients. It demands a tremendous amount of customer service. It is a fast-paced lifestyle that does come with an array of perks, among them discounted travel expenses and hotel stays. Industries involved in destination travel such as airlines, hotels and business making their money from the tourism trade are always looking for ways to increase their business and are willing to share their advertising dollars with those that can deliver new and repeat business. Many times, they are willing to offer discounted packages to individuals in the travel business to make them more aware of their services, inviting them to write about their experiences to entice others to book similar trips. Just as many companies offer free products for people to test and then report their experiences to others, travel-related industries count on good reviews of their services in order to attract others to their business. You have probably seen offers for free nights in new motels, a common tact used in the hotel industry, in order to attract new business. These hotels are rarely alone in the offering knowing that in many instances, sir travel will be needed for you to get to the hotel and once there you will probably spend money at nearby locations. Many people take advantage of these free offers and they do spend money along the way. The hotel offering the free rooms are hoping you enjoy your stay so much that you will book with them at a later date, paying for the stay this time. In order to enhance your experience they usually make sure you receive top-notch service and often work with the airlines to provide first-class arrangements at coach prices. By being treated like a king from the time you board the plane until you arrive back home, chances are you will remember the trip and book through the hotel in the future. If you have a travel-related website and often publish information about specific destinations, be sure to forward this information as well as link to your site and ask about complimentary or at least reduced arrangements the hotel or airline might offer and then take advantage of any free offers than happen to come your way. Be sure that if you do take advantage of the company's generosity, that you send them a link to any postings you make about your experience. The key to receiving additional offers from the same company, or from others, is that if you have a problem, give them a chance to rectify it instead of telling the world how lousy you were treated. They are willing to work at ironing out any problems and maybe even offering a chance to have the trip made right.
