With the economic downturn in full swing, the travel industry is now offering special offers and discounts to help entice travellers abroad. Whether its flight upgrades, room upgrades or free nights, they all aim to have you living the high life.
After suffering a large hit back in 2008, many are taking to survival tactics to see out the slump. Many companies have reduced their travel budgets, meaning that airlines have seen demand for their business class seats hit particularly hard. As a result, there has been an increase in upgrade deals flying about - and for the extra leg room it could be worth it.
If you usually fly business class, it may be worthwhile checking out some of the prices on special offer for first class; helping you to really get to grips with luxury flying. Therefore, you could be gliding through the clouds with a vast expanse of leg room and enough seat pitch to get a proper night's sleep.
In addition, many hotels are offering room and board upgrades, and free extra nights to help tempt travellers in. An upgrade can add a whole new dimension to your holiday and, though not all are free, paying a small amount extra per night for a villa perched above a tranquil lagoon with a private hot tub may just be worth it. Many hotels are also offering free and reduced rate nights, so you can spend more time enjoying your break than having to worry about your bank balance.
All inclusive holidays may look more expensive on paper, but most will save you money in the long run. By paying for all your food and drinks upfront, you can lie back and relax without having to worry. It makes a world of difference being able to order a drink without having to always consider if you can actually afford something.
Sometimes it's not about the accommodation you choose but more about the country. Europe as a destination is more expensive than Thailand or South Africa due to the strength of the currency and price of living. So make sure you do your research before you pick a destination and find out where you can get the most for your money. For example, five star holidays for three star prices are a benefit of these tough times.
Indeed, with prices coming down it is becoming easier to fly in comfort to exotic locations and stay at top class hotels to sooth the credit crunch away; all without upsetting your bank balance. If you're looking for a break without the high price tag, then now may be a good time to consider luxury holidays. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
