What to Do

Museo de la Ciencia y el Agua: (Plaza de la Cienca 1). A child friendly, interactive museum.

La Glorieta: 18th century square situated in the heart of the city.
Cathedral of Santa Maria: Built in 1394 on the site of Murcia's city mosque.

La Traperia: A very famous street in Murcia, well known for both it's delicious tasting ice cream from it's acclaimed parlours and it's lively casino. The casino (No.22, www.casinomurcia.com) should not be missed!

Dine Out

Low budget: ‘La Cocinas del Cardenal' (Plaza del Cardenal Belluga 7'). Offers a great selection of dishes either as part of a fixed price menu or to simply sample as Tapas at the bar.

Mid-budget: ‘Acuario' (Plaza Puxmaria 1, 968219955). Serving excellent Murcian and Spanish cuisine.

Luxury budget: ‘Asador la casa del Reloj' (San Pedro Del Pinator). An old manor house, serving up a deliciously appetizing menu in a beautiful historic setting.

Where to Drink

‘El Churra' (Av Marques de los Vélez) is a very celebrated bar with a lively atmosphere serving up a broad range of food and drinks.

‘El Perro Azul' (Clle Simon Garcia 19) is a candelit bar near to the university area. Or if you like listening to live music whilst enjoying a drink or two try ‘La Puerta Falsa'
(San Martin de Porres).

Outside The City

Mar Menor: 45 miles of unspoilt coastline and beach which is also home to a very large lagoon. The sand split between Mar Menor and the sea is the area known as La Manga, famed for it's various golf courses and the curative properties of the waters.

Lorca: A small town with an alluring centre and an array of characteristic buildings.
Caravaca de la Cruz: A traditional Spanish town with an opulence of ancient churches.
