Of course, you will want to hit the fabulous beaches of the Gold Coast while on holiday, but there is much more to do on Australia's Golden Coast then meet the eye. While it is of course filled with many water sports like surfing, swimming, fishing and scuba diving, sun and sand are not the only adventures to be had in this coastal region. A small portion of Queensland Australia consists of the Gold Coast, and while most people are drawn to this region for the perfect beach holiday it is a region that offers much, much more. The Gold Coast region is truly designed with tourists in mind and offers many attractions, from the average amusement parks to the more outlandish theme parks. Some of the more standard theme parks with rides and such include the Dreamworld Amusement Park, Wet n Wild, and of course, Sea World. But there are many wonderful places to visit both natural and man made that seem to intrigue visitors and locals alike. For the chance to explore some of the natural wonders of the area you will want to go to one of the many national parks that are very close by. You can go to one that is a safe haven for some of the indigenous wildlife or to another that will have you hiking some trails that will take you to incredible lookout points. You can also be able to hit some trails on horseback for an excellent adventure. Some of the more luxurious things that are in the area are a must on many peoples holiday list. There are golf courses that give you a chance to enjoy some breathtaking views. You will have the choice of many different incredible ethnic restaurants to try out too. The casinos are awesome if that suits your fancy and can be a great start to some fun late nights. You don't want to forget about the shopping either. You can go from high end boutique to artsy handcrafts store in one block. You have your choice of the kind of vacation that you want to have while visiting the gold Coast. You can wear yourself out going from one memorable adventure to the next or take it a little more easy.
