Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico's Pacific coast, is no stranger to the film industry. Some folks might argue, in fact, that Hollywood actors and movie moguls were a big part of the allure that put this resort city on the holiday destination map. As you might expect, the week-long event is more than a bunch of critics trudging from screen to screen: local restaurants offer gala gourmet evenings and the community comes together to create a memorable experience for visitors. Each year, international celebrities rub shoulders with members of the local glittery set, and star gazers have ample opportunity to experience a brush with the famous and nearly-famous, as well.
