The Persian Gulf is fast-establishing itself as the place for luxurious, opulent holidays that cater for those with varied tastes and deep pockets, especially in the United Arab Emirates. Its capital Abu Dhabi has been declared the richest city in the world and in keeping with its status is rapidly developing a series of luxury hotels and resorts that will offer the ultimate holiday experience.

Indeed, from Abu Dhabi in the south to Dubai in the north the whole region is undergoing a construction boom that has seen the rise of some of the world's most exciting holiday hotels and resorts. For example, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi is a motor enthusiast's dream. A natural island 2,500 hectares in size, it features the site of the world's first Ferrari theme park, and also includes: formula one racetrack, Warner Bros. theme park, large water park, equestrian centre, and three championship golf courses. Once on the island tourists will want for nothing and have everything at their disposal; beaches, luxury hotels, spas and boutiques.

This move to developing entire resorts is catching on in the United Arab Emirates and many are now under construction across the region, including the city of Dubai farther up the Arabian Gulf coast. The city has invested billions in the development of a once barren area into one of the world's top tourist and business hubs. As a result it boasts more than its fair share of fantastic 5 star hotels and lavish resorts. Most of the developments are beginning to follow the same pattern of construction; one that is bound to appeal to affluent travellers.

Just about everything required to have a superb holiday is available on tap at most of the http://www.madinatjumeirah.com/">luxury resorts in Dubai, including top-class service and unbeatable facilities. Many have their own in-house spas and swimming pools, while guest bedrooms are all furnished to the latest styles and absolutely ooze opulence and come equipped with private bar, spacious living areas and guest dressing areas. Wardrobes are large and spacious, and staff are trained to offer the very best in service; they know that the guest is the resort's number one concern.

Ever since the region started its ambitious expansion over 15 years ago it hasn't looked back, and now that airlines have increased the number and frequency of flights to the United Emirates, it looks ideally set to finally cash in on the billions of pounds worth of investment that the government and their commercial partners have ploughed into property development.
