They will help pack the balloon back up and transport the pilot and riders back to the home base. These jobs are great for those who want to get a little deeper into the sport of hot air ballooning and learn all the ends and outs of balloon aviation. Becoming a pilot requires significant training both in the air and on the ground. Once you have completed the various certifications you are authorized to transport people by balloon both privately and commercially. Becoming a hot air balloon pilot is an ambitious goal. For most of us, simply experiencing the thrill of gliding over the landscape somewhere up to 3,000 feet is enough. This unique experience is certainly one we should each have on our list of things to do. You will find the peace and serenity that is the trademark of balloon flight unmatched by any other adventure experience.
