This years IPL auction had
only two players who were bid for more than $750000. But from the
beginning
itself the IPL had its own league of expensive players. The newest
additions
in this list are Kieron Pollard of West Indies and Shane Bond of New
Zealand. Here's trying to find out the most expensive players of the
2010 India\n Premium League. In the first edition of the
IPL an icon status was given to 5 players namely Sourav Ganguly, Sachin
Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Rahul Dravid. These players
had the provision of being paid 15 % more fee than whoever the highest
paid player in their individual teams would be. The concept of icon
has been removed from this year IPL but all these players still continue
to be few of the most expensive players of IPL. England's Andrew Flintoff
and Kevin Pieterson, India's Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Australia's
Andrew Symonds are the most expensive players of the 2010 IPL. In the
first edition M.S Dhoni was the highest paid player with a whooping
$1, 55,000. Andrew Symonds on the other hand received $1350, 000. IN
the second edition of the game Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pieterson were
the most expensive players. Since this year's bid has been kept under
wraps we assume that they still continue to be the most expensive
players
of this year's IPL. Some other players who receive
high fee for participating in the IPL include Sri Lankan player Sanath
Jaysuria, India's Irfan Pathan, Australia's Brett Lee, South Africa's
Jaques Kallis and India's Ishant Sharma. All these players are
reportedly
paid an amount anything between $900,000 and $1,000,000. The bidding
process has led to players like Ishant Sharma fetching a higher price
than internationally celebrated players like Jacques Kallis. Few more of the costliest IPL
players are India's Rudra Pratap Singh, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh,
Robin Uthappa, West Indies' Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard, and New
Zealand's Shane Bond. This article is basically focused on those players who received a minimum fee of $750, 000.Many other players earned contracts that were beyond their initial contracts in this year's IPL auctions. The bid of this year's rumored most expensive players Kierron Pollard and Shane Bond have been kept silent. Four of the biggest Franchisee's were bidding to have Kierron Pollard play for their team. He is supposedly the highest paid player of IPL 2010. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
