Each year, over 26,000 runners and spectators
come out to Washington D.C for the annual Army Ten Miler- America's largest 10 mile race. The
Army Ten Miler is a tradition that brings together runners of various
experience from around the globe. The 10 mile trek taking place on October 5th,
2008 will take runners past the Lincoln Memorial, the Pentagon, the Washington Monument, and more. Enjoy All the Weekend Festivities at The Army Ten Miler As well as an individual race, team competitions take place as well. Weekend highlights include a Race Expo, where participants in the Army Ten Miler can shop the latest in fitness apparel and equipment. The Globe Post Race Party features a generous Runner Buffet with plenty of bananas, muffins, and bagels. Relax after the Army Ten Miler and enjoy live music at the main stage, door prizes, exhibits, and fun for the whole family. The Army Ten Miler Provides Fun and Entertainment for the Whole Family Kids can participate in the Army Ten Miler festivities too, with youth races taking place during the event. Kids from ages 5 to 13 can join in the youth races, where there are also mascots and inflatables to keep the kids entertained.
