History of Bingo Game

Bingo is not a latest game. It has been around for hundreds of years in different forms. The game dates back to the sixteenth century in Italy where it began as a form of a state lottery game. It was called Lo Giucco del Lotto D'Italia, then, and was tremendously accepted with the population. The online bingo game faced a lot of conflict from the Catholic Church which disapproved powerfully of it. In spite of the Church's resistance the game spread to France by the 1770s. From France, it extended throughout the European continent where it was as popular as it was in Italy.

The Americans modified the bingo game when it entered in the United States. The caller had a cigar box which included discs with bingo numbers on them. They would drag the discs from the box, identify out the number, and the players would use pinto beans to cover the appropriate numbers on their cards. When a player completed a pattern in bingo palace, he described out "Beano", which is what the game was called at the time. Edwin Lowe, a toy salesman, observed the game one day and got the idea to further expand the game and rename it "Bingo". He employed a mathematician to develop bingo cards with different combination of numbers. Without any computers or unsystematic number generator software, the mathematician developed over six thousand cards. Lowe advertised the game as "Bingo". Sarcastically, his best customers were parishes of the Catholic Church. The bingo game was used as a fundraiser, a function it still executes today.
