It's Work/Life Balance Awareness Week from 1 to 6 September. Are you keeping your life in balance? Are you tired of the frenzied, highly demanding age we live in - the constant pressures brought about by the wish to succeed, be financially secure, fit and healthy, sociable, a good partner and parent.

As self-employed, freelance writers and journalists, chances are you never switch off. When you get a commission, you have to do it sometimes at very short notice to meet the deadline.
