I would like to begin this month's newsletter with a paraphrase that I heard this month. The message was talking about the disease of leprosy. This is a disease that can mutilate and disfigure the physical body. If I were to see a person with this disease would I love them or fear them? Most of us out of fear of spreading the disease to ourselves would probably fear them (including myself.) If we look at people with the disease of leprosy, we can see how the beauty of their natural bodies has been taken away. The person is left with a body that is slowly rotting. As the disease progresses, some body parts may fall off. Now I am not writing this for Leprosy awareness (although it is a disease that still exist in the modern world), but to lead into the message of this talk I heard. In today's world of modern science, mankind no longer fears what can be done to the outward body. Today we have many messages that promote a different kind of disease. With each sin we commit, our souls experience a "New World Leprosy." The sin causes our souls to rot away slowly and before long like an uncured leprosy patient, we become unrecognizable. Why do we no longer care how we treat each other as mankind and nations of the world? Each level of hatred and strife causes further and further division among us. Is it acceptable to see pieces of our souls falling off and not care enough to seek help? In those days of past Leprosy was incurable. In today's world, the "New World Leprosy" is incurable. As the story goes, one day a man came and touched this man and healed him of his leprosy. In today's world, why do we not seek this same man and ask for his healing touch? Last month I had to ask, and the healing is slowly taking place. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
