Mediums

In the past mediums were confined to the spiritualist church and the common perception of them was holding hands around a table holding a séance. These days there are more mediums around and there is a more realistic notion that a medium is an ordinary person with the ability to make contact with the other side. This may not be as far out of reach ass one would think there could be many people who have mediumistic ability although they are not aware that they have this.

In the sleep state we are often visited by those on the other side it is as if there is a bridge where beings from this life can meet up with beings from the other side. You can never cross that bridge and there have been many reports of people who have had near death experiences where they have been told ‘its not your time yet' and swiftly sent back.

Most mediums talk about the spirit world as being a higher vibration where everything is heightened the senses are stronger. Colours are stronger and brighter, tastes and smells are stronger and there is clear vision just as a medium has on the earth plane. There is often a queue of relatives and friends on the otherside waiting to come through to the medium with a message for those on this side.

Quite often when someone has passed over recently the relatives will contact a medium only to be disappointed that their loved ones are not ready to come through for them. It is often the case that it is simply too early for them to come through just yet and the reading would not be beneficial because everything is still very raw.

Mediums have been used in psychic detective work and there are a few television programs which talk about mediums solving crimes. Often the information that comes through can be sketchy they may talk about specific items being significant. This may not make sense in the first instance but once everything is pieced together a picture can emerge giving vital evidence leading to a conviction.

Some mediums have an interest in ghosts and haunted places and their interest in this has fascinated many people over recent years. There are now television programs dedicated to renowned haunted buildings and a medium accompanied by investigators and reporters make contact with the spirits and ghosts connected with that building. A team of paranormal investigators are a great asset to any ghost hunt because they have the equipment that can measure changes in temperature. They can back up a presence reported by the medium and record this from the gage on their equipment.
