Many western celebrities are fond of Jewish mystic beliefs. The list also encompasses people from different communities around the world. The principles of Judaism restrain people from learning about the mysterious Kabbalah, until they cross 40 years, as Kabbalah learners have to be matured enough both mentally as well as spiritually.

The list of celebrities, who indulged in the 13th century theological studies of Judaism include pop icons Madonna and Britney Spears and actors such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Demi Moore. Some critics, especially the orthodox, criticize popularizing the ancient beliefs as a fad. However, there is a prominent counter argument that many Mediterranean cultures support using red strings to ward off evil spirits and bad luck.

Kabbalah celebrities cite many benefits they received by learning the centuries old Kabbalah theology. Yuri Rutman says that it changed her outlook in life. She also cites that her childhood that surrounded around a Jewish community made her enthusiastic about the subject.

Another prominent reason why celebrities study Kabbalah is it is easy to learn for people, who do not know Aramaic or Hebrew, as the translations are easy to follow.

Judaist thoughts are open to all, as Judaism is not just limited to Jewish people only. Thus, celebrities have turned to be the endorsers of Judaism. Many celebrities are following the principles of Judaism, because of the strong belief that protection from evil eyes is a necessity for people, who make frequent public appearances, so that their routes to success becomes obstruction-free.
