Do you yearn to live a joyful, meaningful, abundant life? Do you desire to make your dreams come true? Do you long to feel good about yourself? Do you want to experience waking up and feeling hopeful about life instead of feeling discourage and miserable? Living a great and wonderful life begins and ends with you. No one else can live your life for you. You can share your life with others, but ultimately, what you do with your life is still up to you. Are you ready to make that daily decision to choose to love yourself? If your answer is a resounding "YES!", then let's get going! 1. I am committed to love myself today. Today is a new day. I have chosen to live my life anew. And it begins with a choice, a decision, and a firm commitment. A commitment is not based on feelings. So whether or not I feel good, I still choose to love myself today. 2. I affirm myself with positive words. I listen closely to the words that I say to myself. Are they criticizing? (e.g. I'm so stupid. I just can't seem to do things right. Here I go again making a fool out of myself. I'm a hopeless case. I look ugly.) Are they uplifting? (e.g. I look good. I feel wonderful. I handled that conflict pretty well. I'm glad I was calm in responding to that person.) I choose to say uplifting words to myself. 3. I forgive myself when I make mistakes and face failures. I will not beat myself up for failures and mistakes made. I choose to learn from my mistakes and see how I can improve on it. But I choose not to hate myself. Instead, I choose to forgive myself. 4. I pat myself on the back for any accomplishments I have done. I choose to recognize any effort (big or small) that I am being or doing. (e.g. Hey, I was able to mend a relationship by reaching out first. That was a beautiful thing I have done. Or I noticed how I was able to stop myself from giving a negative comment when I was talking to my kids. Good job! Or I feel good that I was able to finish my work on time.) 5. I lovingly take care of my health and wellbeing. I take care of my body by exercising, eating nutritious food, sleeping right and making sure I get enough rest. My wellbeing improves when I stay connected to the Divine to nourish my soul, when I am being positive and grateful, and when I build nurturing relationships. 6. I take the time to play and have fun. If I find myself working too hard and being stressed out, I make sure I spend time to have playful fun. I do the things I enjoy doing most like nature trips, painting, playing with my kids, taking beautiful photographs, watch a feel good movie, sharing a great conversation with a friend over a cup of tea or coffee or anything that brings your heart inspiration and joy. 7. I am grateful. There are times life brings me challenges and problems. Despite that I allow myself to be grateful. I am grateful for each new day that gives me another chance to start all over again. I am grateful for every step I am making to love myself. I am grateful knowing that life can be beautiful and that I have the power to create a better life for me and for those that I love. These simple yet powerful commitments can change your life. You can do this with a good friend who can help you through tough times and who will be able to remind you to be gentle with yourself and at the same time, encourage you to go on. Keep loving, keep growing and learning. Life is beautiful. And so are you. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
