Body art or tattooing has been in use for hundreds if not thousands of years but at various times and in various cultures it has gone in and out of fashion. For the last ten years or so tattoos have become increasingly popular - from the discreet butterfly on a woman's ankle or shoulder, to a whole body that is a testimony to the creativity of the tattoo artist.

There are plenty of tattoo artists around, many of whom are quite willing to work with a client until they come up with a mutually satisfactory design. In recent years, the rise of the internet has meant that there is a growing number of websites where a person may take out membership and download tattoos from the site's database. Many people find that they get just what they want that way - they can download the tattoo that appeals and then take it along to their local tattoo artist to replicate the design on their body.

Like most modern advances people enjoy browsing the internet so why not use the power of this vast information source to find a Tattoo online. As a fan of tattoo's myself I started trawling through the many pages of rubbish until I finally came across Chopper Tattoo.

Tattoo designs tend to come and go, although recently there has been a popular interest in tribal tattoos and what they represent. Some Americans who may have some long ago Native American ancestor are having tribal tattoos to celebrate that part of their history. Tribal tattoos are often portrayed on areas of the body that remain covered most of the time, this is good for the tattoo because it means that the colors will remain sharper and brighter for a lot longer this way. Some tattoo designs also include lettering and may relate to a person's name or a favorite saying. Tattoos are a very personal thing and women in particular may regard their tattoo as an expression of who they are. Tattooing is a fascinating art and will no doubt continue to hold our attention for a long time to come.
