Reflections of a 15 Year Old Interview |

Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing this amazing young man. When I started the interview, I would never have guessed he was only 15. His desire to help his family and create a legacy for them was stronger than many adults I have seen or talked to. When I told him that he had to be at least 18 to do our business, I expected his energy and excitement to dwindle. Instead, he proceeded to ask me questions; "What does it take to succeed at a business working from home". The desire in this young mans voice was powerful. We continued to talk for almost 20 minutes. In closing our conversation, he said "I need to talk this over with my dad", thanked me for my time and (said) goodbye. After hanging up with this young man, my mind began to replay our conversation. That is where this idea for an article came from. What does it take to succeed in the Home Based Business Industry? A DECISION to SUCCEED! That decision has to be supported by desire, belief, attitude, focus, determination, commitment, self discipline and a willingness to learn! A burning desire will push you through those obstacles that you will surely face. Belief - The mind is a powerful thing. What the mind can conceive and believe, most definitely can be achieved. To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all, but believing in the things you cannot see and touch is true belief. You need to believe in yourself, what you are doing and where you are going. Focus - What you focus your attention on flourishes. Focus on the tasks at hand to get you to where you want to be. As you develop your focus, develop it sharply, a laser beam type of focus. This is where I am, this is where I am going..... pushing distractions, obstacles aside. Attitude - We have all heard, if you just changed your attitude... a positive attitude will take you a long way in life. Look for the good in situations. If you focus on the positive side of things, events, circumstances, you will start seeing more and more positive things around you. Commitment & Determination - Commit to yourself, your business and God that you will do what ever it takes to succeed. So when those obstacles appear, you will go over, under, around or through them, to get to where you want to go. Discipline - Either you can discipline yourself or life will discipline you. You are responsible for the results you are receiving in your life. Do the things that need to be done to get you where you want to be. Student - Be a life long student. Find some one who has what you want, find out what and how they did it. Then, do what they did and are doing. Be coachable....... To succeed it takes a decision with strong desire, belief, a positive attitude, focus, commitment, discipline and a student mentality. When you put all of the pieces together it is like a beautiful puzzle. By apply these principles to your life, as long as you don't violate the rights of others, makes anything possible. God did not give you those thoughts and ideas for you to do nothing with them. Start seeing yourself in possession of those things you desire. Consistently and persistently apply these principles to your life, you will not recognize your life a year from now. I am excited for all those who read this article and apply them to their lives.
