Visualize Positively

"Every battle is won before it is ever fought." — Sun Tsu

Every day we have so many thoughts about the future. Many of these thoughts are worries. We worry what someone thinks of us, we worry about failing a performance, job interview, test, or completing a part of our work. We worry about our health. Anything in life we can worry about or expect a negative outcome. But this neither makes us feel good, nor does it put us in the right attitude for success and happiness.

Instead of projecting negatively into the future, visualize positively as a regular habit. You don't need to spend any more time doing it than you presently spend on negative thoughts. Begin by replacing the negative with the positive. Picture yourself being successful today in what you have planned for your day. Imagine finding good opportunities. Visualize people liking and loving you. Remember all the evidence that supports that this is true.

When you catch yourself worrying, reverse your thoughts quickly. Picture yourself finding great solutions and handling things well and quickly. Imagine enjoyable situations and positive results. See yourself enjoying your work today with a smile on your face, and getting a lot done easily. Create in your mind your relationships going well.

Visualize yourself being good at all things you are doing or wish to do. You learn fast. You do good work. You listen well to others and have good relationships. You are healthy and have energy and alertness.

If you want to spend more time visualizing for your own enjoyment and success, by all means do so. You may even wish to spend a few minutes every day at the same time thinking positively. You can pick a nice spot and either daydream casually, or make a small ritual out of visualizing what you most wish to accomplish. Positive visualization is an important tool for success and it also feels wonderful. Go for it!
