Term
papers are the best form of summative assessment that evaluates how well
students may have learned certain subjects or courses throughout the semester
or term. Term paper assignments are offered at the start of the semester and
most of them take the form of research papers, with the only distinction being
that their work runs all through the semester or term and their submission
deadline is usually at the end of the semester. Term paper writing requires
careful planning that spans the entire semester. The first step in term paper
writing is the making of a research proposal. The proposition of a research
question is the onset of the research and it involves the careful selection of
a research topic, and identification of areas that require further research and
elaboration that may lead to new knowledge through approving or disapproving of
theories postulated within the research proposition. The research questions
proposed should be able to be addressed by the research and their answers
derived from the research results and analysis section. The term paper's
research proposal should be ratified by the evaluating body before any further
research can continue into the selected area of study. If the research proposal
gets approval the rest of the research process into the term paper's assignment
completion should continue with a steady focus pegged on the proposed research
questions and thesis statement. The term paper's thesis statement should focus
the research and act as a rudder to steer the research in the right direction
that will ensure answers to the proposed questions are attained and the
theories postulated are either proven or disapproved. Mid-way into the research
there is a need to have a progress report for the term paper. The progress
report is at times assessed by the evaluating body, but this is not a mandatory
requirement because the final evaluation relies on how well the actual term
paper will be completed. The progress report also serves as a guideline to the
research process as well as acting as a guideline that can be used in directing
the actual writing of the term paper. After the completion of the research all
the data and information collected should be analyzed and the interpretations
drawn. After making all these material available the researcher should be ready
to begin the actual writing of the term paper. The actual writing takes the
commonly used research format which outlines an abstract, introduction, and
literature review, methodology, results, and analysis, interpretation and
conclusion sections. The writing of term papers may not be an easy task for most students because of numerous reasons, including lack of time to accomplish the tasks of researching and writing as well as the lack of proficiency in the application of academic writing styles. Other problems encountered may include problems with punctuation, formatting, sentence structure and spelling. Students with such problems are advised to seek online writing help from writing firms that offer professional term paper writing services at a fee. These firms offer online customization of beautifully crafted pieces of academic work to their clients. All a student needs to do is deliver results and any other details from the research and the writers from these firms will take on from there. These services are quite helpful and they offer quality and original pieces of work at very affordable rates. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
