It is Evaluated by NSA and meets the requirements of NSA/CSS specification 04-02 for Optical Media Destruction Devices. Dimensions are 0.7mm x 2.6mm shred size, up to 1 code tape, 1.5" throat width. The HSM NanoShred is approved by the DOD for high security shredding. IT DOES NOT SHRED PAPER, CDS, DVDS, FLOPPY DISKS. Only shreds code tape. High Security models require any paper clips or staples to be removed before shredding to insure that no damage occurs to the cutting heads.
