Samsung i740 is one of the popular smartphones offered by Samsung. It's strudy, smart, trendy and reliable. This handset is multi-function device which has faster processor, bright touchscreen and more. It is truly fits a fan's imagination. The moment you take it out of the box, it looks like a truly awesome. This phone looks elegant in its metallic body which measures 107mm in length, 59mm in width and 13.8mm in thickness. It has a scroll wheel knob for navigation. It has four regular keys like talk and disconnect. It has a large touchscreen which is 2.8" TFT display with QVGA resolution. Samsung i740 is among those mobile phones which are not meant for the professionals as it does not have a QWERTY keypad. Also, it is not the basic phone; it has many multimedia features. It is the GPS enabled smartphone. It has a built-in GPS receiver. It is quite easy to use and comes handy when you need directions fast in case you are lost. This Samsung mobile is quad-band GSM/GPRS phone. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro OS. Another good feature of this phone is it can rely on powerful 624 MHz processor. Like all other smartphones, it also has a camera. You can capture your special moments in its 3 megapixel autofocus digital camera which comes with LED flash. This is an advanced camera. It comes with a business card scanning feature. Like in other smartphones, it also supports Bluetooth (A2DP). It has USB and a microSD card slot (up to 4GB). It has FM Radio connectivity for those who love to live with music. This Samsung mobile does have the 128MB of RAM and has two 1500mah batteries in the box. It has a joystick which you can change to mouse mode and will get a pointer on the screen. It can partially replace the use of stylus like in laptop touchpads. It lacks some handy features like 3G support or EDGE. Even it does not support Wi-Fi. One thing should be kept in mind while commenting on samsung i740 phone that it is not a high-end smart phone. Rather it is a perfect smartphone for those who want a window mobile phone within a small budget. In fact this is entry level smartphone for the people who are first time smartphone users.
