Once you've bought your new house, you'll be all excited about moving in. Save on moving hassles by making a list of all the things you need to do. Firstly you need to go through all your stuff and sort it out. Every household accumulates a certain amount of rubbish. Keep only what you cannot live without to make packing easier. Save all your newspaper for packing - ask your friends for theirs as well. When packing, distribute heavy things such as books in amongst lighter stuff. If your house is not ready and you need storage, don't find storage in your present area, but as close to the new house as possible. This will be much more convenient in the long run. Don't forget to arrange ahead of time to have your utilities and delivery services cut off at the end of moving day. Also arrange for power and water to be on at the new house. Your real estate agent will often arrange this for you. If your new home is a condo or co-op, then you may need to book the freight elevator ahead of time. There could be a fee for this service, so be prepared for it. Make sure you change your address on all your cards and arrange with the Post Office to have mail sent on to the new address. If moving pets you will need to make sure they travel with you and have pertinent information on their collars in case they get lost. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
