Our Energy Of The Future

Life on the Earth began and survived millions of years thanks to the favorable climate conditions. Climate can be viewed as the renewable energy source that has energetic component in Sun energy and material components in oceans as water reservoirs. Energy of the Sun supports circling of water on the Earth, therefore making life on Earth possible. Where there's no water, there's no quality life, like for instance in deserts. Earth's climate changes have reached the level of climate crisis. The solution of how to get out of this crisis is very simple-return to less harmful energy sources. However, lobbies that support continued use of fossil fuels and nuclear energy are too strong on energy market and at this particular moment there's no signs of slowing down the use of ""dirty"" energy sources. Such approach could very easy endanger the future climate, making the life of climatic sensible plants and animals almost impossible, since all species live in natural balance that would affect all earth's bio-system. To avoid this grim prediction of Earth's future life, some countries started stimulating saving energy programs and transition to ""clean"" energy sources. Globally, there's no major progress because amount of energy gained from these clean energy sources is negligible to energy that is gained from fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.

Alternative fuel sources should be one of the most important focuses that we as responsible human beings strive to develop so that we leave this world a better place than we got it from our ancestors. There is an ardent need for saving the environment that is being polluted by emissions given out by the extensive use of gasoline and/or petrol for energy. This article will focus on the various alternative fuel sources currently available.

Traditional fuel sources are not only polluting, but they're getting harder to find. We used them a lot in the last century, and now extraction is becoming more difficult and expensive. Many people are becoming worried that we're going to run out of oil before we find an alternative.

However there are promising discoveries that give hope that before any crisis occurs, mankind would have perfected and commercialized alternate sources of fuel that will be eco-friendly and affordable too.

Bio-diesel is one such alternate fuel source that is extracted from plants into a liquid form. Also known as E 85, bio-diesel is partly renewable. Its contents of 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol mean that it is at least better than using pure gasoline.

However, neither of these fuels is a magic bullet. They still cause pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and require a lot of plant matter. The most popular choices are corn and soybeans, meaning that as production increases, these plants will become less available as food for humans. This has already caused problems in poorer locations.

Another popular alternate fuel is electricity. Electric cars are one of the more viable options currently available for conserving our existing fuel. While they require the burning of fossil fuels in many cases, their electricity is generated in a central location, rather than in each individual car. That makes them much more efficient. In addition, we can produce electricity in many different ways. That means that areas with high winds, like the Midwest United States, can choose to use wind power, while areas with a lot of sunlight may produce it via solar panels. This offers an alternative or supplement to traditional coal and oil plants.

Of course, one of the ultimate alternative fuel sources is muscle power. Changing over to a bicycle or walking is one excellent way to conserve fuel and get in shape. Since fuel prices keep rising as availability continues to decrease, many people are turning to pedal power in an attempt to curtail their usage. Bio-diesel and E-85 aren't readily available, and electric cars have their own problems. For a short to medium commute, the bike is an ideal solution.
