You should consider putting more fish in your diet. Fish is a lean protein that contains omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are some of the good fats that your body needs but can not make on its own. Because of this, the average person is deficient in omega 3 fatty acids. The benefits of eating fish regularly include: reducing the risk of heart attack and strokes, reducing the risk of abnormal heart rhythms and lowing blood triglyceride levels. Eating fish can also slow the cardiovascular disease and the build up of plaque. It can help with Rheumatoid arthritis, lower blood pressure and reduces stiffness and joint tenderness. Other benefits can include: helping with diabetes and heart disease. The American Heart Association recommended eating at least two servings of fish a week to have a healthy heart. Fish is also known as the ‘brain food' and for good reason, omega 3 has been proven to improve concentration and clear thinking. It is also recommended by weight loss specialist as a healthy way to lose weight and gain muscle. A plus is the fact that fish is good for you but it also tastes good. Fish can be found all over the world and can be served in thousands of different ways. From the standard salmon to the exotic barramundi, importers from the far corners of the seven seas bring in thousands of pound of the healthy and tasty dish every year. Go out and buy some.
