With beautiful coastlines, relatively low
property prices, long hot summers and a number of other attractions, there are
a whole host of reasons to buy property in Spain. Many of the busier areas of Spain (especially areas like Costa blanca, Costa brava, Costa calida, Costa del sol, Costa almeria, Mallorca and Tenerife) are well used to dealing with English visitors, and many Spanish people working in busy customer service positions have good knowledge of the English language. This is something many visitors and owners of property in Spain find helpful. The popularity of Spain amongst tourists also means that buying property abroad in order to rent to holiday makers will usually offer a swift return on investment - particularly if you choose to buy property near one of the numerous busy costas, or coasts. In many small villages like Calpe, the afternoon siesta is still alive and well, and many families rest in the afternoon before dining together in one of the many restaurants available in the evening. The convivial atmosphere is one of the many reasons that more and more British people choose to invest in a retirement home in the Spain. There are a number of airlines that fly to Spain from the UK, such as Condor, EasyJet, RyanAir, BmiBaby and Air Berlin. Some airlines only service out of the way areas, from which travelling on to your final destination may be problematic and expensive. Other airlines, such as Vueling or EasyJet travel to airports in larger cities, which you will probably find more convenient. Spain's warm climate is another attractive feature of the country. During the lengthy Spanish summer, the country receives up to twelve hours of sunshine per day, and even during the winter, six hours of sunshine each day are not uncommon. Temperatures and climate differ slightly between areas of Spain, with cooler weather found inland - meaning that, somewhere in Spain, it is likely that there will be a climate to suit you. Throughout most of Spain, rain is uncommon throughout the year, particularly between the months of June and August. Property prices throughout most of Spain are lower than the prices of equivalent properties within the UK, another appealing aspect of buying real estate in Spain. The property available is extremely varied, and includes apartments, townhouses, villas and rural homes, and the hilly terrain allows many properties a sea view. Property prices can differ between areas, as can other factors like the types of accommodation available, and the airlines, which might be important in visiting family back home. While property in heavily urban or popular areas can be fairly costly, real estate in less high profile areas of the country are far more economical. These peaceful villages also offer a unique insight into the relaxing Spanish lifestyle, which is often a welcome change, whether for a holiday or for your retirement. It is also possible to buy land off-plan, in order to develop unique properties, something more and more British expatriates are taking advantage of. Summary : With beautiful coastlines, relatively low property prices, long hot summers and a number of other attractions, there are a whole host of reasons to buy property in Spain.
