All of us have such busy lives that we don't notice the small things that are taking place around us. We are going back and forth to work, picking our kids up from school, and going shopping that it could be hours or also days before we recognize that somebody has stolen our credit cards. This is a big trouble for us because although we are victims we still should pay for any charges that were made on it unless we have some type of insurance to protect it. Numerous people will have either their physical cards stolen or the information stolen from it. These days all people demand is the number and expiration date to buy things off the Net. When just the number is stolen it may take you a month to understand that there are charges being made on the card that you have nothing to do with. The moment you realize that the card has been stolen you must call your credit card company. Alert them to the problem and tell them to put a hold on the card so that nobody - not even you - is able to use it. Once this is finished you need to call the police and report the theft to them. This is a very serious crime and one that can be solved in a month or may never be solved at all. It is manageable for them to attempt to trace the dealings back to an address - but these thieves can be very smart. When someone steals your credit card they are committing a kind of identity theft - which is rather serious. It is able to put you into debt and for several people is able to hurt their credit score beyond repair. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
