Body Language - How to Use It to Your Advantage PART 1 |

You can use body language to your advantage to get someone to like you and by observing someone else's body language you can get clues as to whether they are comfortable with you and like you. Body language what it means is very important in the dating scenario as we shall see in this article. Let's look at various aspects of body language and how it can help you attract a date and give you clues to what they think of you. 1. Eye Contact The first rule is to look someone in the eyes when taking to them If you don't look someone in the eyes, this will be seen as you being not interested in who you are talking to or you are hiding something and will make your date nervous. Watch how your date looks at you if they make eye contact sand hold it then there generally interested in you. In addition, shifting eye movement or rapid changing of direction also indicates unease on both sides. Holding eye contact does not mean staring it means looking in the eyes with interest and with a warm look. Gentle movement of the head and a smile also indicate someone being comfortable and at ease. 2. Smile People like smiles so when you meet your date make sure it's a warm smile and that you show you are pleased to meet them. You don't have to smile continuously throughout your date, but smiling regularly generally puts anyone at ease. If you smile they will generally return your smiles - If they don't there either nervous or are not at ease in your company. 3. Attention Your date can tell what type of attitude you have to them by your by your attention span. If you quickly lose focus or interest and your mind wanders when your date is talking this will indicate you are bored and disinterested and the same goes for them. Even if you are nervous make sure you don't send out the wrong signals give your date your full attention 4. Nervous Disposition Leads on from the above if you fidget and make jerky moves you will make your date feel uneasy. Some people can't help it but try and slow down and appear calm and relaxed to put your partner at ease. 5. Arms Folded & Legs Crossed Arms folded is viewed as a defensive stance. Be open with open arms and don't fold them they are a communication tool as well and hand gestures can reinforce speech - Always remember to keep your hands away from your mouth when speaking. Leg crossing is seen as more defensive in men than in women. Quite simply many women wear skirts and this is something they are used to doing not to show something they shouldn't by accident. 6. Personal Space In the dating game respect personal space most people don't like someone to close to them when they don't know them properly so keep a respectful distance. There is nothing wrong with leaning slightly toward your date when they are speaking this shows interest and the same goes for them. 7. Gestures Are there any gestures that show that your date really is comfortable and likes you in addition to the ones listed above? There are! Finally So there you have it keep in mind that your body language can make you a more attractive person to your date and that of your date's body language will give you clear signs of their attitude to you.
