James Dean, Billy Idol, Fonzie - what do these three men have in
common? Well besides well-greased hair, that ultra-cool demeanor, and
the ability to make all the girls go wild, they can rock the motorcycle jacket
like nobody's business. But don't think that you have to be a "rebel
without a cause" or a rock star to sport one of these cool jackets. Now
more than ever, lots of men are embracing the rebel within and wearing
these jackets with pride. But the simple motorcycle jacket
is more than just the black leather, rough and tough cut that those old
school bikers and punk rockers have worn over the years. With a whole
new generation of bikers opting for the sleeker and modern motorcycles
rather than the ear-piercing rumbles of a Harley, it seems that a new
trend motorcycles are also influencing the biker style with new styles
in motorcycle jackets. And although I'm a huge fan of the classic black
leather studded motorcycle jacket, I must say the new slew of modern
motorcycle jackets have a style all their own. But you might ask
yourself, what makes the new motorcycle jackets any more special than
the classic? Well here are some reasons that these modern jackets are
all that's cracked up to be. 1. Comfy Materials A major difference between the classic motorcycle jacket and modern ones is that they are not necessarily made out of leather. We all know, that although they may look good, leather is a material that is sometimes just too bulky, heavy and just plain uncomfortable. Well now, a lot of the newer motorcycle jackets are made out of lighter yet tougher materials like lightweight nylon. New age materials like these are absolutely perfect for riding, because they are breathable, virtually weightless and able to withstand the elements. Also other than using interesting materials, a lot of modern motorcycle jackets tend to use a lot of insulated padding. This is great for bikers, especially in the colder seasons when they need warmer clothes while riding around. 2. Cool Colors Although black jackets are the classic standard that goes with everything, it sometimes can be a little boring. That's why it is refreshing to see that the modern styles implement much more color than ever before. Whether it's using a combo of yellow and black or a vibrant red, these motorcycle jackets are definitely make a bold statement. So with all the variety of colors, you'll be sure to stand out on the streets. 3. Modern Shapes A great feature of the newer kind of motorcycles is that they feature really interesting and varied cuts and shapes. Many of them implement styles that are more fitting to the body and really give off a more cleaner and sleeker look. These modern looking cuts are great because they can easily be dressed up for everyday use, not just when you're riding your bike. The new breed of motorcycle jackets may not have the harder, rougher rocker edge than the classic styles, but it is safe to say that they have a whole great look to their own. Using innovative, modern cuts along with comfortable materials and interesting colors, these modern day motorcycle jackets are absolutely fantastic.
