A car strobe light comes in equally handy for being kept concealed or being kept highly visible. It is kept hidden in police vehicles to aid in undercover operations, or the lights may be made highly visible in car shows and for other illumination needs.
As a general rule, you hide something when you do not want anyone to know that the thing is around. In the same way, you highlight something when you want everyone to know that the thing is there. A car strobe light is an exception to the general rule in that it comes under both the headings at the same time. It is kept hidden with the sole purpose of highlighting it sooner or later. But when the time comes to let others know who he is, he will take out his identity card and reveal himself. A car strobe light can also be mounted inside the vehicle on the visor or deck or dash in a low profile manner and activated during emergencies. It may be used either for illuminating the car interior or for focusing on something outside. Some vehicles get a car strobe light installed as an additional light source for extra warning or for specific visual tasks. Besides that, lots of private vehicles also keep a car strobe light for help during emergencies. Strobe light units generally have an extra cooling fan to limit heat buildup within the vehicle. The highlighting job done by a car strobe light is best seen in show cars. Many a car strobe light used in show cars are double purpose in that it will work on two surfaces of the car, say the rear side and front, or above and below, or below the car and on the grille of the car. Manufactures offer a lot of customization for show car strobe light so that some prefer to get it fitted on their subwoofers and controlled to play along with the music. The operator can change the speed of the lights as well as its flash patterns with the light control box. A car strobe light designed for off-road car shows will have more colors and more flashing options than those meant for use in emergency vehicles. However, certain flashing patterns are banned in certain states in show cars and the user must have proper knowledge of local rules before he uses a strobe light. The law does not prevent anyone from owning a car strobe light, but different rules guide its usage on emergency vehicles and for off-road shows.
