Are you finding it difficult to work from home because either you don't have the space or people keep distracting you? If you are then it is worth installing a log cabin in your garden to act as your home office. With home office log cabins not only are you provided with additional space the construction time is considerably less than it would be to build an extension to your home. As you will soon discover when you carry out a search online for log cabins that you can use as a home office they come in a number of different sizes and shapes. All look extremely attractive when constructed and generally they can be up and in use within a week. Most people who choose to install home office log cabins in their gardens to provide that all important extra space and privacy opt for the square or rectangular one room versions. But if they want they could also opt for those that are hexagonal or L Shaped. All of which provide ample space for one to set up your home office in. However there are certain factors that need to be taken into consideration when deciding on the size and shape of log cabin to be installed in one's garden which can then be used as a home office. Below we take a look at just what some of these factors are. 1. Space Available - Ideally the size of cabin you install is dependent on the amount of space where you wish to locate it. But you should make sure that where it is built that you have around 18 inches on all sides allowing you to construct it easily and also maintain it after it has been erected. So if the space you have available measures 14 feet by 10 feet then opt for a cabin that measures say 12 feet by 8 feet. 2. Location - You will need to select a location within your garden that allows you to easily run all the services that you need to work in yours. So you need to be close to power supplies and of course telephone lines to allow you to run everything in your home office correctly. However, when it comes to the PC you can always fit it with a network card so that you can then go wireless and place the router in the home in a position where the signal can be picked up easily. 3. Inside Space - When it comes to home office log cabins choose one of a size that allows you to place everything piece of furniture and equipment in yours easily. But make sure that the one you select also allows you to move freely around inside as well. It therefore may be an idea to opt for a loft style log cabin allowing you to create the upstairs area as your office space but allows you to use the space below for an area where if you have visitors you can meet with them and provides an area for making tea or coffee in.
