Organic Bedding Gaining in Popularity

Wondering what is in your bedding takes on a whole new meaning when you use anything other than 100% organic bedding. The typical sheets are made up of a blend that includes a percentage of polyester. The blend is easier to take care of because it holds up well, which means it lasts a long time. These sheets are also wrinkle free because of the blend, saving lots of time on the household chores.

The magic of polyester lies in the chemicals that are blended to create the fabric. These same chemicals also make the fabric uncomfortable on the skin and impossible for it to breathe - which is why it is blended with other fabrics. If you think about the old polyester pants and suits from the sixties and seventies, you can imagine how uncomfortable wearing this concoctions could be. Why would anyone look for an opportunity to wrap themselves in this same compound a large part of their day?

There is a better way to spend your sleep time. Organic bedding is completely natural. Even the growing process for the cotton is chemical free. This makes the bedding breathe and often eliminates many skin complications like athlete's foot and jock itch. The advantages of the natural bedding almost outweigh the difficulties.

There is a cost to the benefits of going natural - and it is more than just money. Because of the makeup of the organic bedding, it will have to be ironed. It is also a bit pricey and hard to come by for most people. It is likely that the popularity of the natural bedding will continue to grow. As interest increases, so will the places that offer the bedding. The competition should decrease the prices and increase the selections, which is a winning situation for everyone.
